Dear ETC9 Delegate;
Most of our hotels are located in and around Taksim Square, center of modern Istanbul. Taksim is nearby Istiklal Street (Beyoglu) which is the center of Istanbul's social life and shopping. Also the region Osmanbey (2 stops from Taksim) is the shopping district for almost a century. Therefore, all our hotels are walinking distance to these atractions, and all are nearby Metro Stations.
One can take the Metro from Taksim, or from Osmanbey, to Maslak Campus of ITU, the Venue where the conference will take place. By Metro it takes around 20-25 minutes to reach to the Venue from Taksim area.
Metro goes into the Campus, after that short walk to the conference Venue, SDKM Center.
Taksim is als only 5-7 min. drive from the Old City; where most historical landmarks are located; Topkapi Palace, Blue Mosque, Haghia Sophia Church, etc. The Old City is full of foreign visitors and tourists, nevertheless, Taksim is more for locals and more colorful center.
